Alexandrea Cook
Architectural Designer
I have three years of experience in the architecture industry, with a background in graphic technologies, project management, and architectural design. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication with a minor in Art History and a Master of Architecture, and I am currently working toward licensure through AXP hours and ARE testing.
At Hillside Architecture, I support multiple projects through design development and construction documentation. My responsibilities include producing and coordinating models and drawing sets, assisting with permit and code documentation, and collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate, timely, and well-coordinated deliverables. I enjoy working on innovative, forward-looking projects that challenge traditional approaches and keep the work engaging and professionally fulfilling.
I’m proud to have contributed to projects such as local community hospital design and community college campus master planning, where I helped translate complex design ideas into clear visual materials that improved stakeholder understanding and engagement. I also value my Master of Architecture final project, The Island Within, an all-abilities school that integrated therapeutic, sensory-based design with landscape-driven architecture and community connection. My work is driven by a passion for visual storytelling, collaborative problem-solving, and design solutions that meaningfully serve people and communities. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places with my family, reading, camping, and winter sports.
